Thigh Lift Richmond

Many people have worked tirelessly for more attractive legs or a thigh gap, but due to different circumstances, they are unable to achieve their aesthetic goals. If you’re unhappy with pesky bulges of fat or loose skin in your legs, you might be a great candidate for a Richmond thigh lift. As a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Hubert specializes in aesthetic surgery and is the perfect surgeon to meet with and discuss your needs.

What Is A Thigh Lift

As with other regions of the body, loose and sagging soft tissues can affect the appearance of the lower body. These areas may be bothersome in spite of appropriate diet and exercise, which often cannot get rid of the extra loose skin or tighten it enough. A thigh lift involves the removal of this excess skin and fatty tissue either from the inside of the thigh (medial thigh lift) or the outside of the thigh (lateral thigh lift). Depending on the dimensions of your body, Dr. Hubert tailors the placement of the incisions to help you achieve your goals. Not infrequently, liposuction is required in conjunction with a thigh lift to achieve your best results.

Inner (medial) thigh lifts tend to be more common than outer (lateral) thigh lifts, since this area tends to be more stubborn to diet and exercise, and the scars can be hidden a little more easily.

What To Expect After A Thigh Lift

Thigh lift surgery is usually done as an outpatient procedure. You will need someone to drive you home afterward and can plan on being tired for the first few days. We suggest rest and relaxation for 7-10 days, making it a fantastic time to catch up on a Netflix series that you’ve been putting off. Swelling and bruising are perfectly normal and will subside after a few weeks.  Most patients will wear a compression garment from the waist to down below the knees.  This helps keep the swelling down and keeps the skin sucked in tightly as it heals.  You pretty much leave it on all the time (including sleep), only taking it off to take a shower.  After about two weeks, you may be able to decrease the amount of time you are wearing compression.  Some patients require surgical drains after a thigh lift.

Who Is the Best Candidate For A Thigh Lift?

  • Patients who are bothered by the excess soft tissue (skin and fatty tissue) along the inner or outer thighs
  • Individuals who live a healthy lifestyle
  • Women and men who do not have conditions that impair the body’s ability to heal normally
  • People who are at or near their goal weight

How Much Does A Thigh Lift Cost In Richmond?

Dr. Hubert tailors his approach to each patient individually. Because of this, the cost of a Richmond thigh lift can vary.  Depending on how much extra skin and fatty tissue needs to be removed, it can greatly affect the overall duration of the surgery, which also affects the cost.  Financing options are available, which can make the payment process more manageable.
