This woman had a family history of breast cancer and was found to have a RAD51C gene mutation, which increases her lifetime risk for breast and ovarian cancer. She underwent prophylactic (preventative) mastectomies to minimize her breast cancer risk. At the same time, Dr. Hubert transplanted her lower tummy tissue (DIEP flaps) to her chest to make new breast mounds. He also performed a subsequent liposuction fat transfer to both breasts for additional volume.
